Cryptocurrency refers to digital or virtual money, mainly used for conducting transaction and securing these transactions through the use of cryptography, but also regulating the process of creating new units as well as verification of the assets that are transferred. Unlike the real money including US dollars and euros, cryptocurrency functions without a controlling hand from a central government or a bank. Thus it is decentralized, and which serves to differentiate cryptocurrencies from all other forms of money.
